Introduction:
This July-August update covers activity and progress on a number of fronts. From the trial of our Community-Led Highways Maintenance scheme (let’s get those signs cleaned and footpaths sorted!), to events across the Ward and wider activity across the Borough.
Thanks also for your member budget applications, it is great to get a number approved so early in the financial year.
We also touch on the Local Plan consultation (following the session we organised earlier this month with Rob Charnley, Head of Planning at Cheshire West & Chester), key planning matters like the Winnington Lime Beds Solar Farm appeal, and the ongoing Devolution discussions that could reshape how powers and funding are managed across Cheshire & Warrington.
There’s lots happening in and around the ward – events, activities, community groups and open spaces to explore. Please do encourage your residents to get out there and make the most of Marbury. Our communities are at their best when they’re connected and active.
We wish you all a relaxing and enjoyable summer break. And as ever, we’re only a phone call, WhatsApp or email away if anything crops up.
With thanks and best wishes,
Cllrs Lynn Gibbon, Phil Marshall, Norman Wright
