Minutes AGM May 2023

Minutes of the Annual Parish Council Meeting and Annual Parish Meeting held on Wednesday 17th May 202 at 7.45 at Davenports Tea Room.

Present: Councillors Davenport, Antrobus, Hough, Brierley-Jones, Dawson, Underdown, Morrell, Christopher.  Councillor Lynn Gibbon.  2 Residents of the village.

Following the recent election, Councillor Davenport welcomed new and returning Councillors to the meeting.

1.         APOLOGIES

No apologies were received.

2.         ACCEPTANCE OF OFFICE FORMS & REGISTER OF INTEREST FORMS

All completed forms were handed to the Clerk and she would send the Register of Interest Forms to CW&C

3.         DECLARATION OF INTEREST

No Declarations of Interest were made.

4.         Report from CW&C

5.         APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN 2023/2024

Councillor Davenport made a suggestion that going forward the Chairman and Vice Chairman would remain in office for two years was proposed and seconded as the new Chairman.  This was accepted.

6.         APPOINTMENT OF VICE CHAIRMAN 2023/2024

Councillor D Antrobus was proposed and seconded as Vice Chairman.  This was accepted.

7.         To confirm the minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Wednesday 2nd March 2022

            MATTERS ARISING

8.   Financial Review & Verification of Accounts ending 31.03.2023

  • The Accounts had been audited without issue. The AGAR Forms were completed and signed and the Clerk would send the necessary forms to the External Auditor.  The forms would also be published on the website.

Current Bank Statement Total: £ 8,695.00

9.         CORRESPONDENCE

  • C Swallow – Audit Fees: £ 65.00
  • Zurich Municipal – Insurance Renewal: £ 144.59

All above were passed for payment

MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING HELD ON 17TH MAY 2022

Present: All Councillors as per the Annual Parish Council Meeting.

Reports had been received from:

  • The Parish Council Chairman
  • Whitley School
  • Dutton WI

The Clerk would email the reports to the Councillors for their perusal and would also get them put on the website.

As there was no other business the meeting was closed.
