DUTTON PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Thursday 10th January 2019 at Bartington Chapel at 8.00pm.

Present: Councillors Brierley-Jones, Helm, D Antrobus, W. Antrobus and Bloor.

  1. APOLOGIES

Apologies were received from Councillor Morris, Councillor Hough and County Councillors Fifield and Tonge.

  1. DECLARATION OF INTEREST

No Declarations of Interest were made.

  1. MINUTES

To confirm the minutes of Parish Council meeting held on 25th October 2018.  The December meeting had been cancelled due to there not being a quorum.

            MATTERS ARISING

 

  • Notice Boards – The Clerk had used the new Notice Board but informed the Council that it was too high, and it had been necessary to climb the wall to reach the top key holes.  Councillor Brierley-Jones said he would look into getting this lowered.  The Clerk would write to Mr & Mrs Madden thanking them for the use of their land and asking if they would like the Council to see to the removal of the notice board or if they wished to arrange this themselves and send the Council an invoice for any incurred costs.
  • Dutton Oak – The cost of getting the Dutton Oak printed was £16 for 180 copies.  The Clerk would contact Maggie again to see if she was still interested and start the ball rolling for the first edition.
  • Councillor Vacancy – There had still been no interest.  An advert would be put int the Dutton Oak.
  • GDPR –Councillor Helm had the document ready for approval and asked the Clerk to read through and check it.  If all ok this would be signed off at the next meeting.
  • Tangled Web Solutions: Invoice £ 7.50 – This invoice was for the retention of the Domain Name for a further 12 months.  This was passed for payment.
  • SLCC Renewal: £63.00 – This renewal was passed for payment.

 

  1. CORRESPONDENCE
  • CWCC
    • Parish Precept Requirements/Budget – The Clerk gave a detailed review of the Budget including possible Election costs and VAT Reclaim.  After lengthy discussion it was agreed to set the Precept requirements at £ 2700.
    • May 2019 Election – This letter detailed the costs that the Council would need to pay.  £181 for an uncontested election and £547.50 for a contested election.
  • Great British Spring Clean – This event was taking part between 22nd

March and 23rd April.  CW were interested to find out if the Council had anything planned.

The Clerk was asked to speak to CW&C again regarding the seemingly continuing work on the new access driveway on Marsh Lane.

The Lords Mayor Banquet was to be held on Friday 15th February.  Tickets £ 55.00

Northwich Town Council had sent a list of services including Summer & Winter Bedding, Landscaping, and Grounds Maintenance.

Royal Mail had sent a letter regarding Scam Mail and how to deal with it.
