DUTTON PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Wednesday 23rd September 2020 at Davenports Tea Rooms at 8.00pm.

Present: Councillors Bloor, P Brierley-Jones, C Brierley-Jones & Davenport.

A minute’s silence was held in memory of ex Councillor Frank Threadgold.  He will be sadly missed.

Congratulations were also given to Councillor Bloor on the arrival of his new granddaughter.

Apologies were received from Councillors D & W Antrobus, Morris & Hough.

Councillor Bloor made a Declaration of Interest.

          MATTERS ARISING

  • Village Speed Limits – CW had again replied stating that the cost could be anywhere between £2000 & £5000.  It was suggested that some of the cost could from Local Councillor Member Budget.  The Clerk as asked to investigate this and to ask whether assessment of speed limits along Higher Lane and Marsh Lane would be classed as one or two separate matters.
  • Land at Rear of Northwich Road – Councillors Bloor and Brierley-Jones had visited the site and although there was some encroachment on the land by residents of the houses on Northwich Road, they felt it was not doing any harm at the moment. After some discussion it was decided to leave everything as it was for the time being.
  • Parish Council Website – Accessibility Audit & Statement – Tangled Web Solutions had now brought the website up to date.  They had sent an Accessibility Statement for the PC to sign and this would be published on the website once returned by the Clerk.
  • Dutton Oak – Councillor Helm had made some progress with this.  Each Councillor would be asked to do a little resume, and this would be included.
  • Ashbrook Plant Hire – CW&C had replied saying that as far as they could see, everything was as it should be at this site.  Councillors were sent the response for their records.
  • Parish Council Accounts – The Accounts had now been completed.  The Statement would be sent to the Auditors.

  • Chris Swallow – Invoice – Audit Services – £50.00 – Agreed & paid.  Thanks to Chris for all his work with the Audit.
  • Tangled Web Solution – Invoice – Accessibility Work – £ 150.00 – Agreed & Paid
  • ChALC – Annual Meeting 2020 – This was to be held as a Zoom Meeting on Thursday 19th November.
