Cheshire West and Chester Council has launched a consultation on their “Land Action Plan: for the climate and nature emergencies”. This consultation is open until 12th December 2021.
You can view the Land Action Plan and take part in this consultation here.
The Land Action Plan focuses in detail on the “land use, adaptation and climate repair” theme of the Council’s Climate Emergency Response Plan. It sets out a vision for land in west Cheshire and 68 actions to achieve this. These actions are to be taken by the Council, working with a broad range of partners.
We would value insight and feedback on the Land Action Plan from local communities, people who own or manage land and organisations. There are a number of ways to share your views, including completing the online survey or sending responses via email or post.
The Land Action Plan will also be discussed at the next Climate Emergency Taskforce meeting which takes place between 6-8pm on Wednesday 17th November. This will be an online event. If you would like to attend or speak at the meeting, please email: ClimateChange3@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk.
More information can be found here in the press release about the launch.
