Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Wednesday 14th December 2022 at Davenports Tea Rooms at 7.45pm.

Present: Councillors Davenport, C Brierley-Jones, Bloor & Antrobus. PCSO Michelle Gillett and 2 colleagues. 1 Resident of the Village.

1.         APOLOGIES

            MATTERS ARISING

  • New Defibrillator – Councillor Davenport had some confirmed costs.  The Clerk would look into placing the order.
  • Northwich Road Residents Petition – PCSO Michelle Gillett asked what the issues were here and matters of speeding etc were discussed.  She said she would check whether this area of highway came under her jurisdiction and would look into some more speed monitoring.

7.         Financial Matters

Current Balance: £ 7741.59

  • Budget & 2023/24 Precept Requirements – The Clerk presented the Budget and this was discussed.  The Clerk commented that she had just received proposed cost for the Elections next year. She would therefore now factor these into the Budget and resend it to the Councillors for their perusal. This would then be discussed at the January Meeting and the Precept decision made.

8.         AOB

The Clerk was to attend a zoom meeting relating to the Council Elections next year on the 20th December.  There would also be an Elections Briefing Meeting at Wyvern House on the 6th March for both the Clerk and Candidates.

Councillor Antrobus said that he was meeting with CW representatives on site on the 19th December, in relation to flooding issues on Higher Lane.  Hopefully issues here would be resolved.
