Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Wednesday 21st January 2026 at 7.45pm at Little Leigh Village Hall.

Present: Councillors Antrobus, Davenport, Brierley-Jones, Morrell, Underdown. County Councillor Phil Marshall

1.         APOLOGIES

Apologies were received from Councillors Christopher & Dawson

2.         DECLARATION OF INTEREST

No Declarations of Interest were made.

3.         Report from CWaC

  • The Marbury Update had been circulated but Councillor Marshall made updates on:
  • Budget from Central Government had been agreed for the next 3 years.
  • CW&C had written to the Police Commissioner regarding the proposal to abolish the position of PCSO’s
  • The Solar Farm at Weaverham had won its appeal but there were we a great number of Conditions to be met.
  • Money was still available in the Members Budget.
  • Hynet had been paused due to funding.

4.         To confirm the minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Wednesday 10th December 2025

            MATTERS ARISING

  • My Parish Council – Move to .gov.uk domain – No update was available.
  • New property on Lodge Lane – Planning Enforcement had been made aware, but no further details were available.
  • CW&C – Planning Meeting – This was to be held on Wednesday 4th February at Whitley Village Hall.  Councillors Annibal, Brierley-Jones and Davenport would attend.
  • Pack Horse Bridge – The closure of the footpath was due to be reviewed on the 10th February.
  • Sand Excavation – Hope Farm – The site had been visited by the Enforcement Office and after being served with a Planning Contravention Notice, written responses had been received.  No further action was proposed at this time due to the explanation of the necessity of the works and the intended reinstatement of the land (mid-2026).  The site would be revisited in a couple of months to check progress.
