Minutes June 2025

Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Wednesday 25th June 2025 at 7.45pm at Little Leigh Village Hall.

Present: Councillors Antrobus, Dawson, Davenport, Brierley-Jones, Morrell, Underdown & Lizzie Tearle (Innovia).

1.         APOLOGIES

Apologies were received from Councillors Hough and Christopher and Councillor Lynn Gibbon.

2.         DECLARATION OF INTEREST

No Declarations of Interest were made.

3.         Presentation from Innovia in relation to the Solar & Energy Storage @ Aston Grange

            Lizzie Tearle gave the Councillors a presentation of the proposed installation.   Details were also given of a Community Benefit Fund which equated to £5300 per year for the lifespan of the installation which was estimated to be 40 years.  This would be split between Aston & Dutton.  More details of the agreement would be forthcoming if & when the application was approved.

4.         Report from CWaC / Details of Speeding Up – Build Out Meeting

The monthly CWaC report had been emailed to Councillors and published on the website.

The Speeding Up – Build Out Meeting was to be held at Little Leigh Village Hall on Tuesday 8th July at 6.30.  Councillors were urged to attend.

5.         To confirm the minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Wednesday 14th May 2025

            MATTERS ARISING

•           Dutton Horse Bridge Repairs – Some work had been carried out on the Bridge, but more work was required.

•           Online Banking – The request for signatures had been done and the clerk would email this for further action.

•           Damaged Foot Path Bridge Tunnel End – This bridge had now been replaced.  Thanks to Councillor Gibbon for all her input with this matter.

•           Airbnb Properties – Councillor Davenport said that the matter had been raised personally with CWaC Enforcement Team

•           Speed Limits A533 – The Clerk had not done anything about this and she would speak to Councillor Gibbon in relation to who would be the best person to approach.

10.       AOB

Recent overnight closures of the M56 Junctions 10-11 had meant increased traffic of the A533 but residents had not been informed by Highways.  Clr Antrobus said he would speak to Darren at CWaC Highways regarding this.

The Clerk raised the issue of the Knotweed at the land at rear of Northwich Road and if it had been checked this year.  Clr Brierley Jones said he would speak to Pete Bate.
