Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Wednesday 29th October 2025 at 7.45pm at Little Leigh Village Hall.
Present: Councillors Antrobus, Christopher, Dawson, Davenport, Brierley-Jones, Hough, Morrell & Underdown. Councillor Lynn Gibbon.
1. APOLOGIES
No apologies were received.
2. DECLARATION OF INTEREST
No Declarations of Interest were made.
3. Report from CWaC
- The letter to the Planning Department regarding the large backlog of applications had now been sent.
- The Locality Meeting at the Lion Salt Works had been well attended and Councillors were encouraged to try and attend any future ones.
- Councillor Gibbon petition for repair and maintenance of Northwich High Street had been presented to Full Council and been voted in favour of. Now was the task of securing the necessary funding.
- Further updates via the Marbury Ward Update Newsletter would be emailed to the Councillors and published on the website.

MATTERS ARISING
• Online Banking – The Clerk was struggling to get anywhere with this but would keep trying.
• Airbnb Properties – This issue was now with Planning Enforcement.
• Speed Limits & Road repairs A533 – The repainting of the road markings along Northwich Road had now been completed. A new chevron sign had also been erected at the junction of Higher Lane. Comments were made about the missing Cats Eyes, but it was hoped this would be resolved soon.
• Knot Weed Treatment – Three treatments had been made during the year, and an invoice had been received for £180.00. This was passed for payment.
• Highways matters (Motorway Closures) – No more information on this matter.
• Sand Excavation – It seemed that his had currently stopped.
• My Parish Council – Move to .gov.uk domain – Councillor Christopher had done some research into this but would investigate it further before the next meeting. He was thanked for his time and input.
• CW&C – Locality Meeting 29th October – Unfortunately no one had been able to attend.

The proposed plans for the creation of new woodlands within the Parish by CW&C were again shared at the meeting.
Councillor Dawson said the owner of Bluebell Cottage Nurseries had kindly offered the Village the use of the Tea Rooms for the Parish Council meetings. It was agreed to have a look at and consider this but to stay at Little Leigh until May as the room had been booked.
